Today we practised which version to use.

Grammar- Is or Are

This drawing shows when you use is and when you  use are. Is is  for  one  thing, are  is for two  or more things. 

Poem - I Hear

When I think of school 

I hear 

Kids saying “Hi” and “Good morning.” 

I hear the bell when it is home time.                                    

I hear kids laughing because their friends are saying funny jokes.

Teachers talking to the students telling them what to do.

Kids talking to help other kids finish their work.

I hear kids typing.

And there, just outside the window

When everyone is quiet 

I hear the birds singing.

Here is the original poem. I have written my own version.

Instrument Art

Here is my pastel art . We made the instrument cold, swirly colours, and the the background hot, spiky colours.

Twinkle Twinkle on the Xylophone.

As part of our unit on sound we learnt to play this song on the xylophone we played it at our on-line assembly                                       

Complex Sentences

The boys played rugby, until it started to rain.

 Until it started to rain, the boys played rugby.

Today we learnt about writing complex sentences different ways. Here are my 2 sentences.

This week we learnt about comparative and superlative adjectives. We made this DLO to show you an example.
