Native Tree Survey Around Our School

In Room 4 we have been doing a tree survey around our school. There are 8 pohutukawa trees, There are 2 kowhai trees, There are 1 karuri tree, There are  Totora 7 trees, and 2 puriri. There are 34 Introduced trees around our school. There are 22 native trees, all together it is 56.

In Room 4 we have been making thank you letters because gift a seat has been paying the shows for us in Panmure Bridge School to see. The shows that gift a seat have been paying for us is very amazing. 

Tennis

Yesterday it was our last day of tennis. Our game that we played at tennis was called ghost tennis. We learned how to play tennis. How to play is when coach Pete throws the ball you have to hit it to the other side of the net but if the ball goes out of the square you have to be a ghost. If you want to be a hitter you have to catch the ball. I enjoyed tennis this year.

Yesterday in room 4 we made hand made bags. Then we had a plan so we made a poster for market day. We wanted to use t-shirts to make bags because plastic is bad for our environment.

Today Room 4 went to tennis we  are learning tennis skills. Our  instructors name is Pete. Pete showed us how to do some tennis skills.

The Holidays

In the holidays on Sunday we went to church. When I first arrived I got my sticker that said my name. After that I saw all the countrys flags. I recognise my country’s flag its the Philippines. Next we all sang the songs. When we were done singing the songs they called all the kids up to the stage to talk. I felt scared but I just went up to the stage with all the kids. Then it was time for School to learn about God. After school my mummy picked me up from school. Finally it was time for eating time. when I got outside the church I was excited to eat. there were a different countries foods. I ate some Philippine food. The different food from different countries I tried were dumplings. They were very yummy.
